Zdenka Jilkova (Czech Republic)-
Dogs have accompanied me in my life since childhood. The first purebred dog – medium Black Poodle – became a member of our family when I was 12 years old. Next was a female German Shepherd, followed by a Chihuahua breed and Flat Coated Retrieved. I´ve been engaged in active breeding for 25 years. Since 1990, I ´ve worked in the commitee, and in the years 1999-2009, I was the chairman of the Club of breeders of Chihuahuas, Peruvian Hairless dogs and Chinese Crested dogs. In the years 1999 – 2007, I held the position of vice president of CMKU. In 1996, I became a judge for Chihuahua, Chinese Crested dogs, and Peruvian Hairless dogs, now I am judging all FCI breeds. I had the honor to judge at several European and World Dog Shows. I judged in 22 European countries. Cynology has become and is a part of my live and is my lifelong hobby. |
Hans Almgren (Sweden)-
I was born in a hunter family in the northern region of Sweden where dogs were such a big part of my family. When I was a little boy my father used to take me with him when he was out hunting. It was pretty much everything from elk to waterfowl. As hunters we were (and still are) extremely dependent on our dogs and this was where I started to become interested in dogs. There was a Norwegian Elkhound that was my favourite during the period that I went to a kindergarten. It was this dog that I used to walk a long walk with. This particular dog was an amazing elkhound that herded many elk including the ones that my father trapped. One other breed that was kept in the family was the Swedish breed Hamilton Stövare. Since then I have had Rottweiler and Briard but I have liked Shih Tzu which is a very happy and friendly breed. Which breeds do I breed? I have had Shih Tzus since mid. 1970 but the breeding started in 1979. My first kennel name/prefix was “Bombers” but I started to breed under the kennel prefix “Adorenaline” after a separation from my former partner. I have bred and owned 23 champions including 3 World Winners. The first dog that won the Champion of Champion 1983 in Sweden was owned by me. In 1994 one other dog of mine won the Veteran of Veterans. I have been certified by the Swedish Kennel Club to judge since 1995. I have always judged in accordance to the FCI’s rules and followed the regulations since then. In addition, I have judged several times in many countries in Europe, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Brasil and New Zealand. Today I am certified to judge all breeds and all FCI groups/allrounder since June 2015. I have been judging at the Circuit together with the World Dog Show in Stockholm 2008 and at Special clubs in many countries as well on several Int Championship shows every year during the last 20 years. I have been judging several times CC shows in The United Kingdom and accepted to give CC to 9 breed in the UK. My professional daily work is as manager in an IT company in Stockholm responsible for a group of people maintain IT systems for insurance companys , banks, pension funds a s o located in different countries. |
Jari Partanen (Norway)-
My name is Jari Partanen, born in 1973 in northern Finland. When I was born my family had a cocker spaniel and later it was retrievers that kept our family company. First Flat Coated and later my very first own dog -Labrador. I passed my ring steward course in age if 16, so I had to wait 2 years before the official authorisation. Despite of my young age I was one of the driving forces to start the local retriever club. I learned to groom goldens and started showing them and later many other breeds. I have even bred a litter of goldens with several CC winners in it. I wished for smaller size breed and by coincidence I saw a Löwchen and understood I had found my breed! The decision I have never regretted; this breed has totally stolen my heart. I have had them over 30 years, my partner started with the breed 2 years earlier. Together we have bred or owned close to 150 löwchen champions, several speciality winners, and years’ löwchen in various countries. Besides löwchen and my deep involvement with retrievers I have had Welsh Corgi Pembrokes. I was quite lucky with my start in this breed and got some nice puppies and several champions in my three litters. Löwchen has always been my main focus and after my life situation changed, I choose to continue only with löwchen. I missed the breed and today I have two Pembrokes in co-ownership with my friend. My first-time authorisation was in 2002 in Finland, löwchen as my first breed. Big life changing event was my move to Norway in 2007. Today authorised to judge all breeds as Norwegian judge. I judge around 30 shows a year. I am member of Norwegian kennel club’s Judge’s committee and Show committee. |
Patricia de Coning (Republic of South Africa)-
I grew up with dogs as most South Africans. During my childhood we had the following breeds as pets but always pedigree dogs and Reg. Over the years, my family owned as pets only the following pedigree/reg. dogs GSD, Border Collies, Bull Mastiff, Great Dane, Boxer, Labrador and Mom always had a little lap dog. Poodles being the breed for her. I got my first show dog at the age of 17 a Pyrenean Mountain Dog from the well know De Le Neige kennel, thus started my show carrier. I had immense success with my boy “Sancho” who from the puppy class won his first CC, BOB and Group placement. During the years too follow I decided not to breed with Pyreneans as there was enough breeders and I also have never been a big breeder. My worries always was and is getting a loving forever home for the puppies. Shih Tzu were introduced into South Africa, and I fell in love with the breed. When the first litter was bred, I got a beautiful Male from the Nasdom Kennel. (Cheeky) was one special pet and show dog. He won multiple groups and BIS awards. I then imported some from the UK as the bloodlines were very limited. We did a mating, the beautiful CH Nasdom Anjin San at Kaikoura was born. Anjin went on to win many titles during his show carrier and was the first Shih Tzu to win a BIS in South Africa. Over the years I have owned/exhibited the following breeds with enormous success. American Cocker Spaniels (Ch. Kaikoura Manolito was top Gundog in his day, Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Shih Tzu, Maltese, Poodles, Min Schnauzers. Later in years I owned/ exhibited and bred Airedale Terriers My dog “Angus” was TOP DOG ALL BREEDS in 2005, the 1st Terrier to achieve this title and he won overall 39 BIS awards. The Airedales did me immensely proud and all were Top Terrier in their show seasons for more than two year. Over the past say 15 years at home we have owned as pets:- Rottweiler, GSD, Labrador, Australian Shepherd, Chihuahua’s but not shown. They were really my son and family pets. At present my son at home has Australian Shepherds, Labrador 13years old and Chihuahua 10 years old. As the Airedales became too much to manage, I started showing Chinese Crested and still are exhibiting them with remarkable results. My Puff bitch is the top winning Crested all time in South Africa. Regarding my judging career I have been lucky to have had some great mentors and still learn every day. I started judging when in my early twenty’s, starting with the Working and Herding groups those day one group. Over the years followed Gundogs, Utility, Hounds, Terriers, and Toys. Thus, qualifying me as an All-Breeds Judge. To follow was FCI and I am also a qualified FCI All Breeds. Also qualified to judge all Handlers I qualified as a Bull Terrier & Mini Bull Terrier Specialist judge I have judge in the following countries, some more than once. Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Brazil, Japan, China, Argentina, Columbia, Costa Rica, Russia, Finland, Germany, India, Pakistan, Mexico, Philippines, Thailand, Namibia, Sweden Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ghana - most being honoured to do the BIS, Judge yearly in South Africa Have served on many other committees during the years and at present still serve on the following - Transvaal /Terrier club, first as a member then as Chairlady and still hold that position. Maria- Luise Doppelreiter (Austria)-
My first dog, the "English" Cocker Spaniel "Sir Jackie of Hilltop", came to me in 1973, bred by the late Rosemary Charrington. The first litter in my kennel "vom Oesterreichring" was born in October 1975, and in the last 50 years many successful dogs have been bred and/or shown by me. I also bred a few litters of Border Terriers. More than 100 Cockers and Border Terriers bred and/or owned by me became champions in different countries, and International Champions, many of them won BIS - the most prestigious win was Best in Show at the London Cocker Spaniel Society show with my Top Secret vom Oesterreichring, the first and so far only Austrian bred and owned Cocker to win BIS in the breed's country of origin. My Cockers also won BIS baby, puppy, junior, veteran, FCI groups, and in adult BIS competitions. Conformation shows are not my only interest in dogs, some of my dogs also won or did very well in hunting trials, and many dogs from my kennel are successful at Companion-, Agility-, Obedience-, Rally Obedience-, Rescue-, Tracking- and Therapy Dog Tests and Competitions. Since 1983 I have judged in the following countries: Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, China, Croatia, (former) CSSR, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain (Championship and Open Shows), Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Tasmania, (former) UDSSR, Ukraine, (former) Yugoslavia, and Austria. In some of these countries I've also held seminars for other judges. During the last years I became group judge and in January 2024 allbreed judge. My big love - besides the spaniels - is Junior Handling, and I was one of the founders of these competitions and the Junior Handling Club in Austria. In 2022 we founded the Ringtraining Klub Austria, and organise handling training in Austria. I'm also a judge for obedience, rally obedience and companion dog competitions, and for character and breeding permission tests. At International and Clubshows I've judged best braces and progeny/breeders groups, Best in Show, Best Junior in Show, Best in Group, Best Veteran in Show, Best Puppy in Show etc. For more than 30 years I was a committee member of the Austrian Spaniel Club, and chairman of the Styrian branch of the Austrian Spaniel Club (OeJSpK). Since many years I am active as chairman and trainer in our local dog training club. |
